A new report released on Wednesday from PandaLabs showed that fake antivirus software has become a growing epidemic among malware proponents. From the beginning of 2008 to the beginning 2009 the number of rogue AV applications rose from 1,000 to 111,000. During the last three months that number has more than tripled. Nearly 375,000 samples of phony software were detected, according to a recent interview with a PandaLabs Technical Director Luis Corrons. The growth rate of this new malware practice is astonishing, so how can your business stay safe?
